Editorial standards & corrections

Updated

Clear sourcing and honest presentation make a car story useful. These standards explain how we present the cars, guides and photographs on WhipKingz.

Publisher and editorial responsibility

WhipKingz is operated by Bobby Litmon, known as Big Lit. WhipKingz Editorial is the publication's byline for researched guides. Owner accounts and builder statements are attributed to their source. A byline does not imply that WhipKingz performed the mechanical work or independently tested a vehicle.

Build stories and planning guides

A documented build story identifies the actual car, the source of the account and the people responsible for the work. A planning guide presents questions, comparisons and proposed choices for a future project. Those formats are labelled clearly. A manufacturer's specification describes that product under its stated conditions; it does not verify the output or installation of an individual car.

Sources and evidence

Guides link to relevant manufacturer documentation, original records and authoritative consumer information. Claims about a particular partnership, award, publication or measured performance need attributable evidence. Where a detail is unknown, the article should say so rather than fill the gap with an invented project history. Parts selection and mechanical work require the exact vehicle's application information and qualified assessment.

Photographs and permissions

Published photographs include descriptive context and appropriate creator, source and licence information. Representative photographs illustrate the subject and are labelled; they should not be presented as before-and-after evidence for a different car. Owner submissions require vehicle and photo permissions. Illustrative category banners are separate from documented community builds.

Updates and corrections

Substantive article corrections retain the original URL and publication date where possible, add an actual update date and explain the change. Unsupported project claims are removed or replaced with clearly identified editorial guidance. Corrections are welcome through the contact form; include the article URL and the detail or source you want us to examine.

Feature submissions

Vehicle submissions are considered for editorial coverage. Publication, awards, prizes and photo shoots are not guaranteed. A contest can be announced only with an actual dated round and published eligibility, selection, deadline and confirmed prize terms. Current submission pages describe the offer that is available.
